Office Policies and Mission

Our Mission

vbraces2We as a staff feel very blessed to help those with orthodontic needs, and we hope to provide them with the best care humanly possible. While we hope to achieve beautiful smiles, with functional, healthy teeth, we pray that the journey along the way will be reinforced with love and appreciation. We want each patient, each family, to know that they are important to us and will be surrounded by an atmosphere that is upbeat and positive. Our desire is that each person knows that they are heard, loved and appreciated. Yes, we hope to achieve straight teeth and beautiful smiles, but if that is all we offer, we have too little to offer.

Hours of Operation

Little Rock Office:
Monday – Thursday: 7:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
(We are closed for lunch from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.)

After hours, you may leave a message and we will promptly return your call the next business day.

We do not schedule appointments on Fridays. Voice messages may be left at any time; however, if you have an emergency we have an assistant on call that can be reached from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The doctors can also be reached beyond this time if necessary.

Our office strives to be convenient and fair to all of our patients, which is why we have carefully crafted our scheduling policies with everyone in mind. Many of our patients have school and/or work during the day, and we are sensitive to their needs for early morning and after school appointments.

What are Prime Time Appointments?

Prime time appointments are appointments scheduled before and after work and school. The majority of our patients either work or attend school and want to miss as little of their work and school time as possible. During the prime time appointment hours, we try to see as many patients as possible. Regretfully, we are unable to schedule 100 percent of our patients in prime time appointments every time. In trying to be fair to all patients, we ask for your patience and understanding as we try to 'rotate' these prime appointments between families.

Scheduling Appointments

Orthodontic treatment involves visits to the orthodontist every certain number of weeks. At each appointment, we plan to always schedule your next visit prior to leaving the office.

Late afternoon appointments (prime time) are reserved for short adjustment appointments, so that as many patients can be seen in the afternoons as possible. Longer appointments, such as initial banding, de-banding, and emergency or repair appointments, will be scheduled during the day. If you have several questions or want to come in at a time that is quieter, we suggest an appointment between 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. For students, we can try and accommodate your school schedule by arranging your appointment during a study period, lunchtime, and recess. However, all appointments cannot be scheduled after school.

Late for an Appointment

We understand that sometimes things out of your control can make you late for an appointment. We appreciate if you can call us and let us know if you think you will be late. If our schedule allows, we will accommodate you. However, you may have to wait until there is time in the schedule to ensure that we do not run late for our patients who are on time. We do take into account families that travel at some distance and will be late- we don't want you turning around necessarily after driving for a while. Call us and we'll figure things out! As circumstances allow, our goal is to still see everyone.

Rescheduling Appointments

We are aware that unforeseen events sometimes require missing or rescheduling an appointment. We appreciate your cooperation in contacting us as soon as possible when that does occur. To stay on track with your orthodontic treatment, please try to contact us within two to three days of the original appointment to reschedule. We will help you as much as possible in rescheduling. Depending on our schedule at the time, it sometimes is difficult to reschedule into a prime time appointment in the immediate future.

Insurance

Our office is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits. Because insurance policies vary, we can only estimate your coverage in good faith and cannot guarantee coverage due to the complexities of insurance contracts. Your orthodontic specific coverage will be deducted from your overall treatment fee. Your estimated remaining patient obligation consists of a down payment and monthly payments. At your new patient consultation, we will answer questions specific to your insurance plan. Check out our insurance policy for more information.
