Early Orthodontic Treatment in Little Rock, Arkansas

Early Treatment (Phase 1)

The American Association of Orthodontists recommends that an initial evaluation occur at approximately age of 7. As a practice, we are conservative in our thinking and do not believe every child needs early intervention. There are dental problems that can be corrected “early” that will benefit future crowding, spacing, bite issues, and could shorten comprehensive treatment. When we see a need for early orthodontic treatment, our goal is to address the current problem, then monitor the child as they continue to grow dentally and skeletally until they have all of their permanent teeth. At that time, we will address any future orthodontic needs.
